I dreamt I was at a sleepover with a lot of other acquaintances, from previous jobs, classes etc. The people there were ones I knew but not too well. The room itself was rather crudely made of concrete and was painted a mint green. We hear gunshots outside and there enter two gamers with guns. You could tell they're gamers because they had very strong headphone dents, in addition to being very sickly pale and ridden with pimples (think the most stereotypical depiction of a gamer possible, at least in popular media). They handed each of us a bullet and told us that they were gonna shoot all of us, but if we behaved maybe they wouldn't. We knew that was a lie. I was too tired to care or be worried, even though I knew I should be. I was laying my head against the laps of Greek gods Zeus, Ares and Aphrodite but they told me that they couldn't save me. I got reprimanded to put away the phone by one of the gunmen, then got shot on the forehead. I woke up, but I was still in the dream. I looked into the gunman and discovered he had a list of a lot of artists that he wanted to (presumably) kill, including me. They were artists that shared similar subjects with him. Among the list was a friend of mine that died recently (less than a month ago), he was labeled a "lucky one" cause he died from natural causes before being shot. — There was nothing in the list itself that outed it as a murder list, but if my previous dream was anything to go by, I called it a bad omen. I did some further looking into him, and saw that his artistic output had not improved in 20 years (he did one of those before and after, for 2000, 2010 and 2020). In addition to that he had a one man podcast where he talked about defecating over a person's face and how lint was making it more solid than it should be. It was concerningly analytical and uneasy.
Interpreting dreams is highly subjective and can vary depending on the individual's personal experiences and emotions. That being said, here is an interpretation of the key elements in your dream:
The sleepover with acquaintances from previous jobs and classes may represent a gathering of different aspects of your life coming together. The room being crudely made of concrete and painted mint green may symbolize a sense of discomfort or instability in your current circumstances.
The entrance of the gamers with guns could suggest a feeling of being threatened or overwhelmed by external influences. The gamers' appearance, with strong headphone dents, sickly pale skin, and pimples, could represent a stereotype or caricature of individuals who spend excessive time immersed in virtual worlds or isolated from reality.
The bullet given to each person symbolizes a potential danger or harmful influence that threatens your sense of safety and well-being. The lie about behaving to avoid being shot may indicate a feeling of powerlessness or a false sense of control in a challenging situation.
The presence of Greek gods, Zeus, Ares, and Aphrodite, suggests a desire for protection or guidance from higher powers. However, their inability to save you highlights a feeling of vulnerability and the need to face challenges on your own.
Being shot on the forehead represents a symbolic attack on your thoughts, beliefs, or identity. It could imply a sense of being silenced or overwhelmed by negative influences.
The list of artists that the gunman had, including your recently deceased friend, may represent a fear of losing artistic expression or creativity. The friend being labeled as a "lucky one" for dying from natural causes before being shot could reflect a sense of relief that they were spared from a potentially harmful situation.
The gunman's artistic stagnation and disturbing podcast content might mirror feelings of uneasiness or concern about an individual or situation in your waking life that is not evolving or improving over time. It could also suggest a fear of being associated with negative or detrimental influences.
Overall, this dream could be reflecting feelings of vulnerability, powerlessness, and a need for protection or guidance in the face of potential harm or negative influences. It might also be highlighting concerns about creativity, artistic expression, and the need for personal growth and evolution.
